"The Transporters" DVD Series, Recognizing Emotions in Others

Following are a few links for a DVD series called "The Transporters" that was made in Great Britain. It is supposed to help children with autism learn to recognize emotions in others.

I remember coming across a sample episode on-line a while back. It is VERY similar to the Thomas the Tank Engine videos.. and all my kids were captivated by it.

The series became available in the U.S. last month. You can get more info about it from this website, where you can also view an episode.

Here is a recent article about the series, which was sent to me in an Autism Society of Northern VA Yahoo Group post.:Kids with autism learn to 'read' people" dated 11 February 2009 by Mark Roth from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette at http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09042/948176-298.stm?cmpid=MOSTEMAILEDBOX.

I'm going to see if my local library will buy the series. This will go along nicely with Samuel's desire to "explore emotions."
