"Come on, let's play!"

I'm hearing Samuel say this frequently these days and it's kind of nice! When it is time for him to go to the playroom in our basement he will summon any or all of his siblings to join him, depending on who is around. I'm not quite sure if he is actually playing WITH them. It could be that he is only trying to avoid being alone downstairs. His siblings will be able to fill me in. In the meantime, I'm liking the direction he is going with this!

Oh! That's so great! I LOVE that my kids have siblings and so I'm not getting that "let's play" request all the time like I did with my first child. Although, with autism, any request to engage is something to get excited about right! :)

Love it!

I love your advent look, and cool beans on Samuel asking to play. That's worth a Snoopy Dance or two!!!

Whatever his iintention- it is a GOOD STEP! ( to even notice one is alone and to be able to ask others to join even if it's just to not be alone)

The Advent wreath is so charming! Good for Samuel!!! I love it when my kids are at least open to the idea of playing together. Usually they are, but sometimes the little ones are better at just playing "near" each other *smile*

Thanks everyone! Big brother filled me in a bit.. Samuel isn't playing with anyone once they get downstairs. I don't mind though since it is a step in the right direction. There are times when we have helpers that he is made to play with everyone too (which is probably setting a good example for him!).
